Spiritual Leadership Course

Spiritual Leadership Course: Being a Guru in ISKCON is an upcoming course at the Mayapur Institute from 16 February 2026 to 20 February 2026. Timings will be 10 AM to 1 PM and 3 PM to 6 PM daily.
The 5-day seminar covers many pertinent topics, including

The Guru Seminar is highly interactive and provides opportunities to share realizations with fellow senior Vaishnavas. It was organized by the GBC Guru Services Committee with the direct input of senior leaders, including Bhakti Charu Swami, Jayapataka Swami, Radhanatha Swami, Ravindra Svarupa Prabhu, and other senior devotees and educators.
As per ISKCON law, this seminar is mandatory for devotees who take up the service of diksha guru. The GBC also “highly recommends” it for siksa gurus, senior managers, and other ISKCON leaders.
The seminar is open to ISKCON gurus (diksa and siksa), sanyasis, regional directors, temple presidents, and other senior leaders who have at least ten years of active service in ISKCON. (References may be required.)

BHAKTI SASTRI TTC [ONSITE]

Bhakti Sastri Teachers’ training is specifically designed to further build on the learning of the previous two teachers’ training courses with the aim of equipping teachers of Bhakti Sastri courses with the specific skillset necessary for teaching sastra systematically.
The Bhakti Sastri Teachers’ training course offers potential teachers training in lesson planning, analyzing the aims of sastric study, effective assessment as well as the practical details of organizing a bhakti sastri course.

MADHURYA KADAMBINI COURSE (Onsite)

Madhurya Kadambini is a classic text on the practice of Bhakti Yoga, written by Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura. It is a comprehensive guide to devotion, offering insights and guidance on cultivating a deep and intimate relationship with the Supreme Lord Krishna.
The course will explore the teachings of Madhurya Kadambini in-depth, covering topics ranging from Sraddha to Prema, or initial faith that a practitioner starts his/her journey with to the highest level of spiritual realization – love of Godhead.
Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to engage with the text through a variety of learning activities, including lectures and discussions. The course will be taught by an experienced instructor who is well-versed in the teachings of Madhurya Kadambini. It will provide students with a solid foundation in the principles and practices of bhakti.
This course targets those who wish to delve deep into the process of bhakti. So, this course will be an excellent opportunity for all interested in exploring the path of Bhakti Yoga and deepening their understanding of this powerful Gaudiya tradition. The schedule is as follows:

Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda, the Founder-Ācārya of ISKCON. The course is presented over two separate semesters; Module 1 for Cantos 1 to 3, and Module 2 for cantos 4 to 6. Each of the two semesters comprises 13 weeks of study at our campus in Māyāpur. As with the Bhakti-śāstrī Course, this course has a Preliminary Self-study guide which is available only to registered students. It is essential that you prepare ahead for this course, as it was designed with the intention that you spend 13 weeks studying prior to attending the classes. A Preliminary Self-study guide is available once you have registered to prepare ahead of each lesson.
Course Requirements:
- Bhakti Sastri Degree with Detailed Marksheet & Attendance Records
- You must chant 16 rounds of Japa daily and follow the four regulative principles.
- You must be recommended by an ISKCON authority who knows you well, certifying that you have been engaged favorably in the preaching mission of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu for at least the previous 12 months.
- The Bhakti Vaibhava Module 1 requires the students to read all the 3 books, Srimad Bhagavatam Canto 1 to 3 before commencing the course. This is required because the course is interactive and conducted as discussions and other group activities based on the books. So, you must read these books to be able to participate and fully benefit from the course.

It is essential that you prepare ahead for this course, as it was designed with the intention that you spend 13 weeks studying prior to attending the classes in Mayapur.
